Great news! Our class has been selected by ePals to participate in a special project. Visit our ePals page to read all about it. We're really excited and honored to be chosen!

Welcome to
Room 126!

Holy guacamole, there are cool things happening here! Check out the featured work by clicking on the tab above or browse through our pages to get a glimpse into the world of a New Buffalo 5th grader. How jealous are you?

If you're a visitor who has happened to mosey our way, either accidentally or on purpose, give us some feedback by posting a comment on our blog under "Welcome, Visitor!" We get excited when folks share the love.

Our latest endeavor - read, Read, READ!
In celebration of reading, our class has participated in several fun reading adventures this month. Cindy Clawson, WNDU meteorologist, read aloud Mail by the Pail by Colin Bergel, a story about the special mail delivery system to Great Lakes freighters.

We also celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday by staging a "read-in" of many of his classic stories - in our pajamas, of course - on Read Across America Day (March 2nd). We even Skyped with our friends in Mrs. Singh's class from New Jersey.

Finally, we joined our ePals in reading in both English and Spanish via Skype in honor of World Read Aloud Day. Click on the ePals tab above to see photos and watch a brief video clip  of the event.
